La canzone di Natale di oggi è “Do They Know It’s Christmas?” nella sua versione originale, quella cantata da Band Aid 1984. Scritta da Bob Geldof e Midge Ure, è nata con lo scopo di raccogliere fondi per combattere per combattere la carenza di cibo in Etiopia.
Per l’occasione sono stati riuniti i più grandi esponenti del mondo musicale del tempo: possiamo infatti sentire le voci, tra gli altri, di Bono, George Michael, Sting, Simon Le Bon e Boy George. Qualche anno dopo, un nuovo gruppo, Band Aid 20, ha inciso nuovamente il brano natalizio per un altro scopo umanitario.
